Amy is an experienced speechie and proud mum who loves being near the water, or sailing with her family.
She has extensive experience in assessing and treating pre-school and school-aged children with speech, language, fluency and literacy skills difficulties. She has a particular interest in helping children with speech impairments as well as children who stutter. Amy is trained in the Spalding Method and Lindamood-Bell: Seeing StarsĀ® for literacy. She is also trained in the Lidcombe Program for stuttering and Hanen: It Takes Two To TalkĀ® for early language
Amy has also gained experience working with adult patients within the nursing home setting where she specialised in conducting bedside swallowing assessments and treating patients with fluency, voice, literacy and speech impairments.
Amy is a gentle, kind and compassionate therapist who continuously goes above and beyond for her clients. Her skill set enables her to provide valuable clinical supervision and support to her fellow therapists at Spot.
