Janet grew up in the United States and moved to Australia in 2020 to complete her Master in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Sydney.
She first developed an interest in speech pathology while working as a Spanish-English medical interpreter in Chicago. She loved helping health and education professionals communicate with their clients, but wanted to have a more hands-on role. One day, she interpreted for a speech pathologist and realised sheโd found her dream career!
Janet enjoys all aspects of speech therapy but has particular interests in paediatric and adult literacy, stuttering, social communication and orofacial myofunctional disorders.
Having completed her entire degree during the pandemic, she also has a strong passion for telehealth and ensuring that all people are able to access therapy regardless of where they live!
When sheโs not at work, you can find Janet going for bushwalks, reading, or working on her novel.
