Mary was born and raised in Sydney, where she completed her Bachelorโs degree in Speech Pathology at the Australian Catholic University. She is a certified member of Speech Pathology Australia. Mary comes from a Lebanese background and is bilingual, being able to speak, read and write both English and Arabic.
Her interest in speech pathology began after high school when Mary knew she wanted to contribute to the field of health and to help people connect with the world and others around them. Maryโs interest in telehealth was first sparked when she had to move her face-to-face speech therapy sessions to telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and saw the benefit of being able to provide quality services to children and adults, no matter where they are at any time.
Before joining the Spot team, Mary worked with children and adults within the disability sector. She loves working alongside her clients to help them reach their communication goals whilst building their confidence. She strives to provide holistic intervention to all of her clients and families she works with. Mary is passionate about using a client and family-centred approach and is devoted to helping them reach their goals.
When Mary is not working, you will find her spending time with her family and friends, baking, playing sports or adventuring outdoors.
